The shop looks nice so a plus for that. But the young male worker (owner?) eventually told me to leave because he thought I was gay and he doesn't support that.
Basically, I came in all smiles and when I started asking about varieties, he asked me what I had smoked. I said nothing yet and went back to questions about products. He then asked me if I was coming on to him. I asked him if he was joking since my girlfriend was sitting right there in the corner, but he said I might be into weird things and that I should just leave the shop.
Kind of hilarious, but unfortunate to see someone so blatantly homophobic (in the center of Bangkok too). I think if anything this guy was projecting and has some unresolved issues with his own sexuality.
Either way, a very strange experience. The store probably sells good product, but by a sad, troubled man.
