Amazing guesthouse. You might as well call this a resort. Big room. Fresh sheets/pillow cases/towels every day and water bottles put in room, incredible modern shower with actual separation of shower and toilet. Nice TV in the right position with the bed (bring a Chromecast or firestick) and fiber internet! Ultra fast. Cleanest place we've stayed in southeast Asia. Would stay for months of budget allowed.
Deano and Kai will be extremely helpful to all your needs. Unlike some people in Thailand they will help you without the commission and get you a quality tour/massage/moto rental just as part of the price.
Best part may be Kai's cooking. Great homemade thai food that will rival and beat most restaurants. Good portions, and good price. I think we paid 80 baht for a pad thai which is standard but the portion was awesome and she had no issue cooking vegetarian style for us.
The bar is mostly an expat area, lots of regulars, but sometimes young people too (usually staying in the guesthouse). The expats are usually extremely knowledgeable about what and how to go about your life on Koh Chang which is helpful. We had Kai's food at the bar 50% of the time because riding the Moto at night felt dangerous and why do it when you have incredible food at home. Seriously 10/10 and I'm a picky eater.
After a little moto accident that ripped my shorts Kai was extremely helpful and even had my expensive shorts sewn by a friend. Done perfectly and they are good as new! Kai is thai and thus can be 5x more helpful than even an expat and her English is better than most if not all Thais I have met.
Definitely stay here if you can find an open room, wouldn't stay anywhere else in Koh Chang
