This is a review for the hotel, specifically the top floor family room. I hope that the other rooms are nicer. I don’t usually write bad reviews but I felt the need to inform future travelers.<br><br>Starting off with the good: The owner is friendly and the bed mattresses (2 of 3) are decent. The location was good. Staff cleaned the clogged shower drain quickly.<br><br>Now the bad: The fact that the shower was clogged in the first place and nearly flooded the bathroom within 20 seconds the first time we used it. The third bed was sagging in the middle and you could sharply feel every spring in the mattress. The room itself was extremely dusty with hair and sticky residue from old drinks on the furniture. The AC was turned off with the switch hidden behind a dresser which we had to figure out ourselves (all the staff were gone with no information given about their working hours). The rugs clearly had multiple uncleaned stains. The inside of the fridge smelled very stale. There were cracks in the walls around the sink and shower which leaked onto the floor of the bathroom. Our room also had a tiny window which let in no light, but you could hear every car that drove by through the walls. One of the ceiling fans was so loud and shaky that so we had to turn it off. And not necessarily bad if you want privacy, but it also seems that no housekeeper comes by to change towels and do general cleaning each day like a typical hotel.<br><br>The best part was when we had to stuff the hole in the sink with paper because a cockroach crawled out while we were brushing our teeth in the morning. We saw at least 5 other cockroaches, dead and alive, on the first and second floor of the hotel during our 3 night stay.<br><br>Take the very good reviews with a grain of salt. Perhaps the first floor store is a very nice establishment but be wary of the hotel itself. The reviews for both are combined on this listing. Overall, the hotel seems like a haphazard add-on to the store, with little thought given to cleanliness and maintenance and a roach infestation on top of that.
