Legalizing cannabis in Thailand isn't what one should expect, so much mediocre quality everywhere. Tried at least 30 dispensaries across Bangkok, Pattaya, Koh Chang, nearly impossible to find good bud (for real connoisseurs with a tolerance and picky taste). Tried in the city, outside, residential areas, tourist areas, locally owned, faring owned, and I nearly never ever got decently stoned as I would with California/Amsterdam/Spain bud.
