I went there because it was next to my condo.
The owner was really nice and I went back the next day.
Then he sat me down and showed me a video on this phone where I patted the girl I was playing pool with, on the bum.
He said that's sexual harassment and if I didn't pay him 150,000 Thai Bahts he would call the police and I would go to jail. Or the boyfriend would kill me.
I explained I had zero recollection of doing that and it's even hard to imagine as that's not like me. I have a strong feeling that the clip was either AI or he slipped something into my drink.
When I called the Tourist police to see where I stand on this, the owner said said they were friends with the police and I would end up in jail guaranteed. When I tried to leave they pushed me into a corner and I crashed backwards into some chairs. Im 70 years old so I could not fight my way out of it.
After I proved I had no money and that I live on a very small pention, they dropped the price to 30,
000 Thai Bahts.
I said I only have 10k left to live on until.the end of the month. The girl I so called sexyally harrasted agreed to take it but then 2 police walked in. I was not sure if they were legit cops as I was informed many times that cops in Thailand are like the Mafia and all corrupt.
Anyways, I went to the station where they took her statement and mine. After sitting there for a few hours I was told if I didn't pay 30k I would go to jail.
I translated my statement to him and it didn't even seem like he was listened.
Im convinced this was a shake down and that they do this scam regularly.
If I didn't have a friend in Banhkok to bail me out, I would writing this story from jail.
