pure magic. When I arrived yesterday I heard a beautiful voice singing, without even understanding where I was and invited me to play and sing with them. it has been my best night since I arrived in Thailand this month. Chill and vibrant vibes, full of love and music. People told me about this place but I didn’t think it was this way. Definitely recommend it if you need to add a bit of soul to your trip.

It’s an astonishing place. The owner is a great musician who plays and sings and invites all to join in. He cooks and invites people to eat the fish he catches daily. It’s hard to leave the island because people just want to be here all the time. Much love and props to you Jong.

Klasse kleine Bar. Selbstbedienung und offene Kasse wo jeder sich selbst bedient und bezahlt. Nettes aber einfaches Ambiente, als wir da waren gab es unten frisch gefangenen und dann gegrillten Tintenfisch. Live Musik wohl jeden Abend. Wirklich klasse.

This is not a safe space for men or women. This is a self service bar with people jamming. Initially we were having a great time and everyone enjoyed my blues song. However an older local guy who seems to work there was aggressively hitting on ALL the girls and being completely inappropriate the whole night. The two girls I was with left because of this and I should have left with them. Shortly after, he and his local friends chased me out for no apparent reason. I was threatened, intimidated and felt very unsafe. In the end this was one of the worst experiences of my life.

Tawan Eco Bar to chyba najbardziej wyjątkowy bar, jaki widziałem. Super klimat i ciekawy samoobsługowy pomysł. Na pewno wrócę.

The most unique bar you will ever come accross . You serve yourself at the bar , write your own bill and dump the money in a bucket . Jao the landlord encourages you to join in with the music that he is playing and the mix of nationalaties makes it for a fab evening so much so that we went every night on our stay

If you’re in Koh Kood and wondering where the magic happens after dark, this place is an absolute must. Don’t judge it by the roadside view — it’s a classic “trust the stairs” situation. Head up and you’ll find yourself in the most laid-back, bohemian hideaway, buzzing with warmth, laughter, and instant friendships. Seating is delightfully unconventional: bean bags, carpets, and tiered padded floors, all wrapped in a proper hippy-pad vibe that practically begs you to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. The bar itself is fully stocked and brilliantly runs on an honesty box system — no staff, just you, a clearly priced menu, and your conscience. We happily overpaid for our drinks out of sheer appreciation for what was being offered. And what is being offered? Pure joy. By day, the owner is a local fisherman working with his family. By night, he transforms into the heart and soul of this place, hosting an unforgettable jam session. The bar is lined with musical instruments, and guests are encouraged to jump in — and wow, the talent that turns up! When we visited, there were some seriously impressive musicians and vocalists, and the host himself is phenomenal. Once you’re in, you’re in. The atmosphere pulls you along, the music flows, and before you know it you’re thinking, “Just one more song…” Spoiler: you won’t want to leave. Just take care navigating the stairs on the way down — they can feel a bit adventurous after such a good night. Highly recommended. Utterly brilliant.
