I really love the desserts from your shop, but it’s unfortunate that the staff hasn’t been very pleasant to me. I’m a regular customer, ordering from you 3–4 times a week. Two weeks ago, I placed an order as usual and waited for the staff to check the stock. I admit that on that previous occasion, it was my fault for transferring the payment before confirming availability.
However, this time, I waited for the staff to check the stock first. After they confirmed that the items were available, I made the payment and left enough time before calling a rider. I then continued with my work. When I later checked my phone, I saw that the staff messaged me saying, “We only have one item available.”
I asked why, and they replied, “The online stock and the actual stock don’t match. Please don’t call a rider too early next time.”
(So now the blame is shifted to the customer.)
I responded, “Then why did you charge me in the first place? You told me the items were available.”
They again said, “The online stock and actual stock don’t match.”
This clearly shows that there is a backend problem in your business, something customers like me should not have to deal with. A simple apology without shifting the blame would have resolved everything nicely. But your staff refused to acknowledge any fault.
To the management: If you have experience running a business or working in a large organization, you must know that service is crucial. Internal issues should never be used as an excuse when dealing with customers. It’s unprofessional.
It’s a shame, everything else about your products is excellent, except for the customer experience.
I hope you will provide proper training to your staff and address the discrepancy between your online stock and your actual stock.
Besides dancing to entertain the foreign guests in a flirty way, don’t forget to enhance the online shopping experience for your Thai customers as well.
