Will cannabis stay legal in Thailand or will there be a 'surcharge' to the local lawmen? In a country with a serious ice, heroin etc problem when one narcotic is legalised what will be the situation with harder narcotics subsequent to that? I just had a beer by the road, that was enough.

We stumbled across this little gem when staying in Thai Mueang. We only went in to buy some cannabis but we ended up sitting in there for hours chatting away and had the best night with the owners and friends. They were so friendly and hospitable and helped us out with anything we needed. It was our friends birthday and they even went to the effort of bringing out a birthday cake with candles! Such a lovely vibe and good atmosphere - would recommend anyone spending an evening (or multiple) here on their travels.

We stopped by for a beer and a joint. We ended up having Long Island Iced Teas which were excellent, best we’ve had in Thailand. The owner is delightful, super friendly and eager to please and has created a nice beach bar type environment. It gets an excellent breeze and is one of the few places in the area with a sunset view. Highly recommend chilling here for a few hours.
