OH Hostels - Bangkok

Whoops, I wish I read the Google reviews before booking on Hostel world. Yeah all of the reviews talking about the rude Chinese owner guy are right. I had a run in with him too and he was so rude- commenting on my Chinese last name and criticizing me for not being able to speak Chinese, plus other random garbage but I zoned out once he started going on about nonsense. Crazy enough this is the second time a hostel owner/ worker has made this exact comment to me. If I had a nickel... Anyways, just stay somewhere else, all the reviews talking about bad service (unless it's the female receptionists), smell of weed, drugs, dirty rooms, etc. They're all pretty accurate.<br><br>Update to owner's response: I unfortunately stayed here, anyone who even glances at my profile can tell I am traveling. I think it is a bit strange that the owner states they fired the only quality about this hostel that I found redeeming.

Good  hostel Good service Clean place and nice people

The place is super good located, staff is super nice, the rooms are clean, comfortable and have AC, I never had a single one bad night in there… also the Hostel host some activities during the week perfect if you are a solo traveler ✌ 100% recommended

Very nice hostel, increadibly social and only about a 10 minute walk from Khao San Road. Absolutely brillitant first hostel experience in Bangkok.

The hostel was very clean with very polite staff. Our stay here was 10/10 and would definitely recommend

Stayed for a week. Friends bag went missing but it reappeared. The cannabis sold is extremely poor quality. Lots of friendly people around the hostel. For the price, can’t complain.

Schlimmstes Hostel, welches ich je besucht habe. Zimmer sehr unmenschlich gestaltet, bin mit sicher das sich dort keiner wohl f�hlt.

I've never in my life been to such a terrible hostel, ever. The service is awful and of very poor quality. The keys never work. There are so many things that are just horribly wrong, but honestly, I don't want to waste any more time on this dump. Do yourself a favor and don't even think about coming to this place

It's a real hostel that makes the reviews unbearable.<br>It's the best location to stay, and it's not too far or too close.<br>The staff is not only friendly, but also differentiated from the atmosphere of a regular hostel, and is formed in an atmosphere where you can socialize with your friends.<br>In addition, there are many events, so I highly recommend them to those who want to get close to other travelers.<br>An attractive hostel for short-term accommodation travelers to extend.

Las habitaciones y los ba�os estaban bien y limpios. Sacando las s�banas medio viejas y algunas duchas que no ten�an agua caliente.<br>El personal fue lo peor. Llegamos y hab�a un hombre, (del cual ya vimos le�mos quejas y de hecho con las personas hospedadas ah� hablas sobre �l y ten�an la misma opini�n), nos hablo de una forma bastante irrespetuosa y con mala cara. No s� si es el due�o o que pero no s� c�mo puede seguir atendiendo al p�blico una persona la cual no tiene predisposici�n y ya desde un principio te genera un malestar. Hab�a otra chica despu�s y tambi�n, atenci�n p�sima.<br>Personalmente de lo que menos me gust� es que haya c�maras de vigilancia en las habitaciones, me parece una falta de privacidad enorme. Nunca lo v� en ning�n hostel que pongan c�maras en las habitaciones.<br>Las tarjetas de acceso a la habitaci�n no funcionaban. Cada vez que entrabamos nos ten�a que abrir alguna persona que est� adentro porque sino era imposible. Tuvimos que ir a arreglar eso y por suerte lo solucionaron.<br>El ambiente es hostil, incluso las reglas est�n escritas de una forma pasivo-agresivo y parece que si respiras m�s de lo debido te cobran.<br>Hab�amos alquilado para m�s d�as pero decidimos irnos a otro hostel porque no nos sentimos c�modos.

Staying at this hostel was an unsettling experience, and I would not recommend it, especially for solo female travellers. From the moment I checked in, I felt uncomfortable. Eddie, the staff member who checked me in, made a series of inappropriate comments that left me feeling uneasy. His behaviour was creepy, and instead of feeling welcomed, I felt unsafe right from the start.<br><br>Overall, this was a distressing experience, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hostel, particularly if you are travelling alone.<br><br>I had initially booked 7 nights at this hostel, hoping that my first impressions might improve. Unfortunately, after a dreadful first night, it only got worse. Eddie’s creepy comments and behaviour during check-in were just the beginning. I tried to give it a chance, but the overall sense of unease made it impossible to stay any longer. I checked out the very next day and can honestly say I wouldn’t wish a night here on my worst enemy. Avoid this place at all costs.

H�tte ich mal vorher die Bewertungen gelesen. Hatte mich von der Lage etwas locken lassen. Leider f�hlte ich mich von Minute eins an sehr unwohl. Der chinesische Besitzer (Eddie oder so). Sehr unh�flich und vulg�r. Sowas bin ich nicht gewohnt und m�chte ich als Gast auch nicht haben.<br>Die Zimmer waren auch nur OK. Die Klima-Anlage war den halben Tag aus und konnte nicht angeschaltet werden, weil das Personal daf�r gesorgt hat. Ich kam von einer Nachtfahrt und wollte den halben Tag mit ausruhen, was aufgrund der Hitze nicht ging. Auch schrecklich das man erst ab 15 Uhr einchecken kann, also hatte ich einen langen Aufenthalt ohne Zimmer. Kulanz kennt man dort leider nicht. Selbst als ich dann endlich reindurfte fand ich das Zimmer nicht wirklich sauber. Selbst f�r asiatische Verh�ltnisse. Die Dusche war so kalt, dass ich echt gefroren habe. Es war nicht einmal m�glich das Wasser auf mittlere Temperatur einzustellen.<br>Das einzige positive was ich von diesen Ort zu berichten habe, ist der Junge Mann (ein Brite) der sehr sympathisch war und guten Kaffee gemacht hat.<br>Dennoch, ich kann dieses Hostel nicht empfehlen.

This was my first time staying in a hostel and it was very comfortable. I used the private room and it had all the basics and the bed the was comfortable. I only stayed for 2 nights but it was a good experience. Also the workers were cool and helped when they could. Oh and if you enjoy marijuana this is the place for you!
